Overview
When a garage, a yard or a whole property needs clearing out, we bring the truck, the machine and the crew. We do the loading, sort the material as it comes out so it does not all end up at the landfill, and leave the area swept. Because demolition is our day job, the shed, the deck or the old concrete pad can come out on the same visit as the junk, quoted as one number.
What's included
- Household junk and clutter
- Furniture and mattresses
- Yard and green waste
- Construction and renovation debris
- Sheds and deck material

How it works
Junk Removal, step by step
nothing has to be dragged to the curb before we arrive
We come and look at it
We see how much there is, what has to be carried out and where the truck can park. Then you get a firm number with disposal included.
We do the loading
Our crew carries it out of the garage, the basement or the back yard. The excavator handles whatever is too heavy or too awkward to lift by hand.
Sorted and hauled
Material is separated as it comes out. Metal, wood, green waste and clean concrete or dirt go to the facilities that take them, so only the rest sees a landfill.
Left clean
The space is swept and raked before we go. You get the garage, the yard or the lot back ready to use rather than as a mess to deal with.
What we do not take
Most of what comes out of a garage or a yard is ours to haul. A few things are not, and it is better to know before we arrive than on the day.
- Asbestos. If a job turns one up we stop, arrange the testing and bring in a licensed contractor. Removing it is not something we do.
- Paint, solvents and household chemicals, which go to a hazardous waste depot instead.
- Fridges, freezers and anything else holding refrigerant.
- Not sure about something in the pile? Send us a photo and we will tell you straight.
What it costs
What moves the price
Every site is different, so we quote after we've seen it. These are the things that change the number, so you know what we're looking at.
- How much there is, since disposal is charged by weight and volume
- What it is, because clean fill, green waste and mixed junk are charged differently
- How far it has to be carried, and whether stairs or a narrow side yard are involved
- Whether a machine can get close, or the whole load has to move by hand
- Whether anything has to be taken apart or demolished before it can be loaded
- How you want the space left, cleared out or swept and ready to use
Real jobs
Junk Removal we've done
Recently had Kanigan Construction work on a project of mine and I have to say the work they did was incredible. Their communication and professionalism was outstanding from the get-go, and the results were top notch. If you are in the area and in need of construction services, I highly recommend hiring this company.
Drew and his brother are two of the hardest working people I've ever met! They worked from dawn till dark and I'm very happy with their work. Plus their price was unbeatable. Highly recommend.
Questions
Junk Removal questions
How much does junk removal cost?
It depends on how much there is, what it is, and how far it has to be carried, so we quote after we have seen it. Send photos or book a free site visit and you get a firm number with disposal included.
Do I have to move anything to the curb first?
No. We do the loading, including out of basements, attics and back yards. If you would rather pile it up in the driveway beforehand that is fine too, and it usually brings the price down.
Can you take the shed or deck as well as what is inside it?
Yes. Demolition is our main line of work, so the shed, deck, fence or old concrete pad can come out on the same visit and be quoted as part of the same job.
What happens to it all?
It is sorted as it is loaded. Metal, wood, green waste and clean concrete or dirt go to the facilities that take them, and only what has nowhere else to go ends up at the landfill.
Do you take asbestos?
No. If a job turns up asbestos we stop, arrange the testing and bring in a licensed contractor. Removing it is not something we do.
